Welcome to Academic Helper, an academic assistance marketplace that connects Assignment Seekers ("Seekers") with Academic Writers ("Writers").
1. Wallet Deposits
All payments made by Seekers are first credited to their platform wallet.
Wallet balances may be used to activate assignment milestones or stages agreed upon between the Seeker and the selected Writer.
2. Milestone Payments
When a Seeker activates a milestone, the corresponding amount is deducted from the Seeker's wallet and held securely by Academic Helper until completion of the milestone review process.
Funds are not immediately released to Writers upon milestone activation.
3. Milestone Review Period
Upon completion of a milestone and after the milestone deadline has passed, the Seeker will be notified to provide feedback regarding the submitted work.
The Seeker will have three (3) calendar days to:
- Accept the submitted work;
- Raise a dispute regarding the submitted work; or
- Take no action.
If the Seeker provides positive feedback or fails to respond within the three-day review period, the milestone payment will automatically be released to the Writer's wallet.
4. Disputed Milestones
If the Seeker submits negative feedback or disputes the work:
- The milestone funds will be placed on hold.
- The Academic Helper Finance Team or Dispute Resolution Team will conduct an investigation.
- Both parties may be requested to provide supporting evidence and communications.
After the investigation:
If the Writer is found to have fulfilled the milestone requirements:
The funds will be released to the Writer.
If the Seeker's complaint is determined to be valid:
The funds will be returned to the Seeker's wallet.
5. Wallet Withdrawals
Seekers may request withdrawal of refunded funds that have been returned to their wallet after a successful dispute resolution.
Withdrawal requests are subject to:
- Identity verification requirements;
- Fraud prevention checks;
- Applicable payment processing fees; and
- Processing times determined by the payment provider.
6. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will generally not be issued in the following situations:
- The Seeker changes their mind after approving a milestone.
- The Seeker fails to provide required materials or instructions necessary to complete the assignment.
- The Seeker remains inactive during the dispute review process.
- The Writer successfully delivers work according to the agreed milestone requirements.
7. Platform Service Fees
Any platform service fees, payment gateway charges, or administrative charges may be non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.
8. Fraudulent Activity
Academic Helper reserves the right to refuse refunds and suspend accounts involved in suspected fraud, abuse, chargebacks, manipulation of disputes, or other violations of platform policies.
